Maranda High School students have once again demonstrated their commitment to innovation and excellence by winning top prizes in the most innovative category of the National Science and Engineering Fair held at Kisumu Boys' high school. Micaiah Nzue and Joash Odhiambo emerged winners in the Technology and Applied Technology category for their project "Blind Guide", which helps visually impaired people navigate their surroundings using ultrasonic sensors.

In the same category, Obed Kipngeno and Kigen Kipyegon's "Submersible Water Pump" took third place. The pump is designed to provide an affordable and energy-efficient solution for farmers who rely on irrigation to grow their crops.
